From the desk of the Bishop:

Consider this my people, is it possible that we are too often unaware of the devil's attack. When situations come we wonder why me, what have I done to deserve this. Why do I always have to deal with this?

But consider this, the reason why the devil fights us all the time is to prevent us from discovering what’s inside of us. The devil is afraid of who you will become if you fully commit to the Lord. He is terrified of the gifts that God has given you.

I submit to you that you have a gift inside of you and the devil knows it. This gift has the power to shake the kingdom of darkness. This gift is what the enemy is trying to choke out of you, and his strategies are endless. He often uses his human cohort to speak words of discouragement against you. He will send people with pharisaic spirits, self-righteous in their thinking, spiritually arrogant Sadducees. Those who consider themselves intellectuals, better than you accredited by institutions of darkness.

Their goal is to talk you out of your calling. You can’t sing worship, you can’t teach the word, you’re not qualified to lay your hands on people, God doesn’t hear your prayers, you can’t preach.

You see the devil can throw stones at you and even use his fiery darts, but none will injure you. This why the word says your gifts will make room for you. They will make room because the greater one is in you, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper.

For us to realize our gifs to fully experience the gifts that God has placed within us, there has to be desperation, a hunger for more of Him. We desperately need to be filled with the Holy Spirit, we desperately need the word of God in our hearts, and we desperately need to get on our knees or in a prostrate position of humility expressing our reverence towards The Most High.

It is with these expressions of love for the Father that we will discover the many gifts that dwell within us. If you want to walk out your calling and understand your assignment you need to know what he has placed in you.

1 Corinthian 12:7-12

“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.”

The Bible is clear that to each there are spiritual gifts, but the devil could care less that you have gifts, as long as he can keep you from using them. If he can keep you in the dark, if he can discourage you, then his job is done.

This is why wisdom and knowledge are so important for the believer. The devil is after you because of the gift inside of you. And because of this lack of understanding the devil will continue to attack you, one battle followed by another, constant opposition.

But hear me, it’s like this. You are attacked like this because as you are making strives in your spiritual life, as you are growing in faith. He knows that sooner or later you’re going to break through and realizes and recognize your gifts. That is why his attacks are launched against you.

During that time, the season of attack, as a child of God you need to be persistent steadfast un-moveable. Remember a thief doesn't break into an empty house, for there is nothing of value in a house that’s empty. There’s nothing to still, but when you find the devil trying to break into your life, it”s because he knows, he knows what inside of you.

He knows the value, and the heights that you can reach, the gift inside of you, and that’s what he wants. The devil hates the man or woman that is walking in their gifts with power, humility, and integrity, all for the glory of God. This is what the enemy hates to see.

Ephesians 4:1-6

“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
